About

I am a firm believer in counseling for achieving better mental health, and for boosting personal growth. Honesty, trust and vulnerability are at the foundation of the counseling relationship, and I focus on fostering those qualities from our initial session until the last. I use a client-centered approach in therapy, adding various techniques centered around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness when they can be useful.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), licensed to provide psychotherapy in the state of Maryland, and am recognized as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board of Certified Counselors. In addition, I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).

I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with an M.S. in Counseling in 2012. Prior to starting a private practice in 2014, I worked with families, couples, individuals and groups at The University of Maryland, College Park, and the District Heights Family and Youth Services Center.

I have completed significant training in anxiety management, EMDR, mindfulness, ADHD, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I regularly attend workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay informed of the latest developments in counseling.
